CINTIA DE LOS SANTOS - soprano

Lyric soprano Cintia de los Santos was  born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and has a degree in Music from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. In 2007 she was granted a scholarship for a Masters Degree in Opera by the University of Southern Mississippi(USM), USA. In 2014 she was nominated as the best classical music performer in the Açorianos Music Award. As a vocal coach she has won the Cantoritiba Choir Festival twice, in 2016 and in 2017.  She is the author of ‘A Arte da Técnica Vocal’ - Caderno 1 and Caderno 2 (The Art of Vocal Tecnique, Books 1 & 2) published by  EDIPUCRS. Throughout her professional journey we can highlight her vocal preparation with the following singers and teachers: Carlos Rodriguez (Brazil), Martha Herr (USA/Brazil), Maryann Kyle (USA), Monique Zanetti (France), Neyde Thomas (Brazil), Peter Kooij (Netherlands), Suzie Le Blanc (Canada), Ulrich Mesthaaler (Germany) and Yukari Nonoshita (Japan). 

FERNANDO CORDELLA - fortepiano

Fernando Turconi Cordella is considered one of the main harpsichordists of his generation in Latin America. In 2015 he was granted the TOYP JCI Brasil Award in São Paulo as the most expressive figure of the year in the ‘cultural achievement’ category. He has been performing as a soloist and as a guest conductor in the main orchestras in Brazil and abroad. He has worked on projects with Nathalie Stutzmann (France), Peter van Heyghen (Belgium), Olivia Centurioni (Italy), Emmanuele Baldini (Italy), Roman Garrioud (France), Michaela Comberti (England), Juan Manuel Quintana (Argentina), Luiz Otávio Santos (Brazil) and Rodolfo Richter (England), among others. In 2016 he took the Harpsichord teacher position at  EMMSP (São Paulo Music’s School) as the Baroque Music workshop coordinator, along with Marília Vargas and Juliano Buosi.  Trained pianist, he had his main guidance from the Brazilian pianist Dirce Knijnik. At the harpsichord, Nicolau de Figueiredo was his great master. He is the winner of the Açorianos Award 2011 as the best performer in the classical music category for his “CRAVOS – de Frescobaldi a Mozart” CD. Cordella is the artistic director and conductor of Porto Alegre Bach Society and Carazinho Symphony Orchestra.
